Kinda like a hebmuller but shortened with behind the doors to the front of the rear arch removed, Wheres the creativity in everyone gone? Also how hard do you all think this would be?

There are a couple of hot rod style bugs already on the road and a couple in the pipeline, but none that have been shortened as you refer to (to the best of my knowledge). One major stumbling block would be engineer certification especially if you want to shorten the floor pan which I am not 100% sure is legal at all anymore?

Depends on how competent you are with a welder, or how much $$ you have. Anything can be done with time and money so they say. If you effectively take out the rear quarter you are going to have to shorten the roof which becomes a BIG job. Good luck though, go for it! I'd say it hasn't been done here before because of the complexity of the work.

a few words find a good panel beater and have a lot of money or be prepared to do the work your self.
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

Thought it was illegal to shorten the chassis
which is why Manx buggies are no longer allowed.

Buy a manx, throw the body away and put your shortened body on it
no dramas at all:P

Concept looks good. :thumb

I assume you're trying to remove the blank section between the doors and guards... would you be able to achieve a similar effect by extending the guards?

yeah , I think it looks good
but I would lengthen the doors
and adjust the gap front and back of the door to
keep the standard wheel base.
