possible I spose, but we'll never know, and besides, we are taking the word of a whole bunch of people who could have just been made up.

What a freakily cool presentation. I haven't researched it, but this particular presentation does a great job of ridiculing the official 757 boeing impact.

Cool!

The twin towers footages were just so freaky to watch....I have a son in law living in Manhatten up near Central Park...I'd been up the towers to look over the city...took lots of pics including looking at the other tower next door....

We were in bad asleep when it all started happen but one of my sons was over in Perth and so still up...He rang to say turn on the TV.....we sat in disbelief...it didn't seem real...like a desaster movie....Picked up the phone and rang New York...Nathan was still at home in his appartment in shock and saying world war 3 had started ..... We'd managed to phone before a lot of other people heard the news so got through straight away...Jon and I were so relieved Nathan was OK, but god it is nothing you'd ever forget...it was horrific watching the news.....and so spooky to look back at the pictures .....The world really started going very crazy after that day, S11

That is great. I think we would all be surprised if we knew half the crap that went on. Apparnetly there are something like 18 people officially higher than the president in America. Guess it makes sense. You wouldn't want your heads of top secret departments changing every 4-8 years.

The latest bombing in Indonesia will certainly decide the vote...being very conservative and not know for changes in crisis I'm saying little John will get in again

....dfat site is always a good read

http://www.dfat.gov.au/geo/indonesia/bomb.html

Anyone who travels in a foreign country should always be sensitive to the mores of that country...Indonesia is a very strong Muslim country with know extremists....Behaviour which we see as the norm here is far from the norm there.....and we are seen to be extremely immoral on many levels...it is their country....be sensitive and not think because you are away from home you can do anything you like...it's just not see well

Bali has become a bit of and Australian playground ....then there is the Asian sex trade which some travellers get involved in.....and the strong US connection...not a good combination

We may not agree with a countries mores...but if we are visitors we should respect their ways and behave appropriately...... Be so aware of what might offend

As seen on the dfat website...the danger areas are away from Bali....but the extremist groups will move to where they see the threat as being....or the targets of their hatred lie

Not all Muslims are extremists and so will not take extreme actions like this bombing...but there's a very different mind set....

Well Jakarta has been know to be very dangerous for many years now.... not a place to holiday but unfortunately the place we have to go sometimes if we need official documents or on business....

I've travelled alone to some places women normally mightn't and always dress in clothes like the women do there....and follow their norms as much as possible...it's so hard sometimes because there are things we do every day and don't always think....It can be hard anyway as a western woman as the men only see you as that sometimes...

These countries can be so bad for the non Muslim population if they live in an extremist region....

We really are so lucky here that all our different religious/ethnic groups a fairly tolerant toward each other on the whole .... You see some horrid things in some parts of the world

I just went back to show that animation to a friend and it looks like it has been taken down so I did a google search on Pentagon.swf and it seems that many of the sites that were hosting it have now gone.

I did find a copy at http://www.elchulo.net/files/pentagon.swf

If you do a search you'll find that there are just as many sites debunking that particular 'conspiracy theory' as there are pushing it.

Sorry to be the only voice of reason.

That clip started from a French website called 'Hunt the Boeing'. Very similar theme. They use photos that are deliberately unclear, or obsure the 2 story hole in the side of the building (like the fire truck and hose / water stream).

I was sucked in by this one too, until I looked a bit further, the one thing that kicked it for me was;

They found the remains of passengers from that 757 flight in the wreckage at the pentagon.

That would be pretty hard to fake as far as I can see.

Try this website for another informed opinion of the attack.
