in VW Trends (back 2 mags)...a couple of the G.F club memders had the spot light in the car afixed to the front window...well I saw one(new) in the swapmeet at Action Day and wonderd what it would be like in the splitty?

They are made by Helphos, were used a lot in the 50's and 60's by rally drivers around europe, made in west germany.

Yep, Helphos spotlight, or rally light. I have a black one, but there is also white or bone.. These are the main colours, but they are found in others.
I saw one for sale recently, as in the last few days, and it was pretty big bucks.. They aren't cheap, but any genuine accessories or brand name ones, like this one, aren't..

Helphos lights come in many colours but the white and black are the most popular.
