Im in the habit of calling all VW vans 'Kombi's'. I realise there are transporters, microbuses, vanagons etc.
I now own an 82 Vanagon (T3), what is best way to refer to this in further posts to avoid confusion, is it still considered a "Kombi' ?
Thanks for your help
Regards

Your mixing names for a few models there as well as mixing "slang" names.
For yours, air cooled Transposters like you have are known as T2.5's (T2 is a "Bay window", T3 is the watercooled ones). Then there are vans (no windows in rear), transporters (vans with windows, many had aftermarket seats added) or Caravell's with factory seats and all the mod cons. "Vanagon" is a US name given to T2.5's and T3's!!

Richard,
It looks like you know a lot about models.
I bought recently Transporter 2.5L , 1995.
Is it called Eurovan or something else in USA ? ...Does it have the same mechanical specifications ?
I am asking because there is a CD on the market covering most of the models , but it comes from the USA ... terefore there is no Transporter covered by the CD.

Cheers
Kris
