I cant put it in the splitty and remember i have a mate who lives 3 doors up the street so i carry the rack up to his place to ask if I can temporarily store it while i get the blokes beer and I will pick it up tomorrow in the ute turns out it was him who through the rack out in the firsyt place he know nothing of VW but the bastard could have saved me a case of beer . Not all is lost though as the three of us , the k1wi me and me mate ended up watching the footy and drinking the beer LOL/bUrp<MITChell
WHAT HAVE YOU FOUND?
23 windows ...8 too many!
couches, paintings, pots, plants, books...
i love council throw-outs
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
My dad is one of those guys that always came home with 'bargains', either from the 'dump shop' or the council pick ups.
There is nothing he hasn't found, from old wardrobes (which he converted to glass doored bookshelves) to electrical goods, to art works. Once he bought me home a jewellry box full of proper rings, necklaces etc. What sort of people throw out stuff like that??
Anyway, I am afraid I follow in his footsteps and have the urge to pull over at every garage sale I see and crane my neck at every council pick up..
Mitch sounds like a productive afternoon...

this one time i found some JUNK and next to the junk was some MORE junk witch i took home and now i have a sick wheel chair! i mean junk.. thats how my mum describe the stuff out the front of peoples houses..
I furnished my first house with gear I scrounged. Haven't had to pay for a pushbike part in years.
I love em.
Go out somewhere with the tribe & sort of trip over some suburb that's having a chuck out day. Get home, stip the seats out of the bus, take #1`son & away you go.............😉
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.
I found a complete postie bike from when the real estate emptied the contents of a vacated tenant's garage onto the footpath. I contacted the cops to make sure it wasnt stolen. Stuck a battery in it and petrol and it ran great!!
If it aint broke,
Make it go faster!!
I am doing an upstairs addition to the house at the moment and last claean up i came home with 6 solid cedar doors.
Needed to scrape about 25 layers of paint off them but they came up a treat!
Futue te ipsum!!!
how good is council cleanup!!🙂
I found a little bike for my baby daughter. The guy who was throwing it out told me he found it on clean-up too.
sharing the joy,
Yeah! 😎
Ahh, yeah, the old hard rubbish collection. That are great.
I too salvage pushies for parts. I also found some little handcarts, like small wheel barrows, that I can hook up to the back of the bike and collect even MORE goodies with.
Found a TV last year. It worked for two weeks, then sat around for another fifty before we could get rid of it.:thumb
Hey Alex I like your new chair! Can i borrow it for the next Bledisloe cup ? a few years ago I was late getting tickets so me and my mate got disabled tickets (only option) on the half way line first tier, my mate was in the chair for the first half and i got it for the second half.
