cheaper to buy whole bus?

Hi all why is it that if you want to buy a typ4 1800 motor for your bus you have to pay a fortune, but you can buy a whole bus for for less than a grand?
i just picked up a 73 bus with fresh 1800 and new amc heads, good box + other goody's for $650 and its not even that rusty.

spose if you find something like that you would have to be happy.
now you can part out the rest of it and make your $650 back. :thumb

some people are like slinky's
they have no useful purpose
but they are fun to watch
when you push them down the stairs
