I have been thinking of putting in an Ipod or something like that in the kombi as I dont want the stereo to show.
Where have other split owners put their stereos.

Cheers

Just leave a big bag of heroin hanging from the side mirror, and the junkies will leave your glass and stereo alone.

I'm going to try and hide mine in the glovebox. There will be the deck, UHF and AM. I'm not so sure I can get them to all fit.

The back seat will be fishnet between the two rear passengers and built into the back of the seat itself will be the sub and amp pointing right at the front windscreen. All going well I should hear the kids screaming. The parcel shelf will be gause as well with a false parcel shelf below it holding the 6x9's point up at the back window but unseen by the theves casing the carpark for hardwear to pinch.

The only dead giveaway will be all the thumping on arrival and the bloody great whip aerial hanging off the back cage. That buttons off and goes inside too.

You can get stick on the glass aerials as in the new vehicles. A lot cooler way to go and it doesnt spoil the look of the old vehicle.

Some good replies but.
I dont have a glove box.
There is only steel below the seat on a splitty.

The onl;y place is on the parcel shelf under the dash but it will stick out like dogs balls.

Thanks anyway.

Cheers

Put it in a Box, one of the aluminium ones from jaycar BOLT it down under a seat or something, and lock it, therefore the bastards cant steal it, then run an antenna to near the ipod, if u need to change the channel, get one with a remote and rig up a door so you can change it 😉 hide all the wires and the bloody speakers.

get some friends to ride with you.. and while your driving they can play music, and sing kareoke..

then when you leave them in the car in the heat (summer weather soon) you'll be glad if they've been stolen 🙂
