The engine number to chassis numbers on early cars dont match
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

does anyone know how to find out if your car was Australian built or imported based on the chassis number?

yeah they will only have records of the chassis number n can relate that to month and year of build.

they used to tell you what engine number the car had but dont do anymore.

The body, gearbox and front end numbers mean nothing

they probally did on say the 1/2 million cars but not after that
