this is a bit of a carryon from my last post in GCC, where i was deciding between my own little beetle, or the fabulous fatso.

now that all of that hard descision making is done, there is more to be done.

i have a beetle, a nice stocker. inside and out shes... neat.

she needs some help in the aesthetics and motivation ie she needs to look sexier

i have the ways and means of just about doing anything, so let kikko be ur canvas, and ur creativity be the paintbrush... damn im poetic.
heres a picture of the canvas, a 73 superbug.

i say a coat of caravelle grey and a set of decent rims(empis or brm what ever takes your fancy) caravelle grey is a dark grey with a gold flec in it.

Easy,Australian Volkswagen Magazine No.4 page 54 it was Anthony Mitchells car probly sold on by now simply beautiful, white like yours and white headlight and taillight surrounds, bonnet handle, engine lid lock and sqeeze type door handles.Wipers are black, window rubbers without alloy inserts and one piece windows(if u can do them properly).Colour coded mirrors and bee-sting roof aerial.Front bumper from a 76 with internal indicators and porche side indicator repeaters and the cars best feature very classy 17x7.5in DTM alloy wheels with Yokohama avs 215/40 zr17 tyres all sitting low thanks to narrowed and dropped spindles and adjustable spring plates on rear irs conversion, there that was easy wasnt it :kiss oops i forgot and shaved front indicators😉

19" rimms and an scooby turbo motor,

came up with a look on bug selecta,

how do you save the pic?

basically this,

mainbody colour; navy blue
side colour; next lightest shade of blue
height 2
biggest porsche twist wheels (you could use something else similar)
big quiet pack muffler
keep all standard trim and bumpers

leave it white, then the doorjambs and shit dont have to be done, and respray it... nice glossy acrylic maybe a bit of aluminium DARK tint on the windows 😀.... lowered real german looker, bit of CF laminate throughout.... especially in the dash and a bit of cosmetic work and she'll be brilliant...

real modern look to her i think, not the pinpin you were guna give it hehe

recover the seats or get some new ones and recover the rear, grey velour and black .....

black body with orange racing stripes.... horisontally above the running board between the guards.... real deep orange... like on the 76 logo. bout 2 inches wide .... and the 76 logo on the quater panel intop of thestrip...behind the door..... thats how i see it.... bit of a racer hehe same height as above..same wheels or some alloy mags would look cool too... stripped and painted bumpers in the orange along with other trim peices in orange too.... or maybe trim in black gloss too..... im thinking bout this now and i really like it hehe not even my car.... black with darn tint and orange bits at the least lol

the 76 would be awesome! it would be even better if my car was a 76 bug eh.

any chance we can make some gear to do racing stripes/76 logo etc?
i can provide paint, spray shop/gear/painter, meat and beer.

mate, we can mark out those graphics and paint them on no worries whatsoever.....

i could even speak to my brothers best mate who is a signwriter and get a mask made up so we can get the 76 logo perfect.... but i think if we get it photocopied to the right size we can trace it on with a stabillo and spray the base and i can stripe or airbrush the rest on....

some little details like painting the fuel tank the same colour and some interior orange touches would set it off.... 😀

hmm i duno how it would look on the bonnet..... but no harm in trying hehe

this was my idea

horizontal and vert stripes, with side 76 and big 76 on either bonnet or roof. (optional). note the empi 5s and white walls (i love white walls)

Daniel - loves whitewalls and orange
p.s. the orange is 'council worker shade'

i wouldnt think whitewalls would look good on a 70's model.... i duno.... specially not a racy super... you cant have empi 5's cos you have small 4stud... and empi 5's are for wide 5 you can get adaptors but i reckon a set of modern wheels would add to the look, paint your calipers red to fool the people to think they are porsche and red drums.... i think stripes over the top and down the sides would be too much.... the sides are subtle.... maybe some kind of logo across the bonnet.... i duno something on the bonnet but ya dont wana over do the orange .... bit too in your face hehe maybe the logo on the roof would look sweet, and your name like the drivers name on the rear quater just behind the door..... like i said somethere else a bit of CF look a like laminate on the dash and if its done right people will be double taking at this baby..... also a little engine detailing would make it even nicer anong with some duel carbs on the little 1300 and some extractors would be a little cruiser.... got a set here we might be able to work on..... you got acess to a welder at the workshop... what about air tools?

Well, 76 logo like this??

This is my old 63 beetle that has since been sold a while back. I considered painting all the graphics but it was far easier, quicker and cheaper (and better result) to have it made up in vinyl by a graphics place. Had them apply it...it was like this for well over a year whilst I owned it and no bubbles, peeling, cracking, discolouration etc.
