Ive noticed some dodgy advice from a few people in the tech section.... sometimes its a joke but sometimes it can cause damage to peoples car if not done correctly and moreso could become dangerous.....

being a longstanding member of the board since the Ezyboard days i dont want to see the tech removed aqs a result of such advice and proceeding legal action .... we all remember the legal fiasco from a year or 2 ago.....

my suggestion is a diclaimer on entry to the tech section something removing the board of all responsibility should dodgy advice be taken.....

duno wether i may be takin this to far but there are some very moronic posts on the board offering some less than sound advice....

cheers
adz

(no names were mentioned and i really dont remember the posts ive seen so dont ask me for examples... i barely remember and i dont wana start shit )

Hmmm... seriously

The only bad advice i saw was when Birchall told some one to get rid of the McPherson struts and put in torsion bars!:jesus

I reckon cutting out that bar down the middle of an oval window is a good recommendation too. Makes it easier to see out of the back.😉

What sort of bad advice?

I reckon the tip about adding a bucket of sand to your tank everytime you fill up was the best! I use less fuel now and the guage never reads below 3/4!

Cutting metal (especially old and rare metal) is always good advice!
