as the title suggests, my throttle return spring decided to snap while i was on my way home from work this arvo.
the engine was screaming it's nuts off, but i turned off the ignition real quick and coasted to a stop.... hopefully it wasn't over revving long enough to do any lasting damage.
anyway, who knows where i can get a new spring from? it's the late type 3 fuel injected 1600 engine.....
i need a cuppa! :duh

Kai, try Autobahn, supercheap etc or any spare parts stockist, they should have something for you.
Cheers
if all else fails, use rubber bands. it is tried by me and proven intil the rubber bands melt and snap, which hasn't happened yet. put two or three around the throttle, will definitely last til you find proper springs

cheers guys.
i've managed to find a couple of 'similar' springs, and have also done a repair on the old spring by bending the end round to make a new loop, it's just shorter than it used to be😉
one of these will fix it!
luckily work have lent me a van for a few days till i get it sorted

p.s. i'll probably change the oil too, poor motor deserves it, must have been stressful for it 😉
