Hi all,
I need a big favour from a Sydneysider.
My wife is interested in a VW which is for sale in Sydney. I have just rung the guy and its still for sale, he's had some enquiries though.
I don't want to leap in and tell him I'll take it without a look at it, by either myself or someone else. What I am hoping is that someone with some VW knowledge could possibly have a look at the car for me in the next few days (if it stays for sale) and give me an idea of what I'm looking at. What would be great too is someone with a digital camera that can email me some pics.
Of course, I run the risk of not only someone else buying it, but also my 'agent' deciding to buy it over me. But thats a risk I have to take.....(maybe someone who can't possibly buy any more cars should go?).
Car is located in Horsley Park, wherever that is. If anyone thinks they could help me in this way, I'd be very appreciative. I would so love to get this car if it looks OK, but can't exactly drive 5 hours to have a 5 minute look.

i work right near there but my history with buying cars isnt that flash,i dont even trust myself. but if no one else will do it i can take a few pics and check the areas that you want me to, but honestly bugs are not my specialty. come to think of it any car isnt my specialty
It's about 6Km west of Smithfield, about 8-9 north west of Cabramatta and 34Km or 50mins drive from Camden according to whereis.

Nearest main road is Walgrove rd which runs off Elizabeth Dr. 30mins from Camden, straight up Camden Valley Way, across onto Cowpasture rd, past Hoxton Park Airport, turn left onto Elizabeth Dr then up to the second roundabout and turn right into Walgrove rd. That is now Horsely Park.

West Syd Drag Strip , I tend to see the
Good side of all VW's (not Fussy) but I know where all the rust is to be found in Beetles.
I have done many Weld rust repairs , I have not got the funds to buy any at present.
- I could have a look for you but you will need to explain in great detail what you expect , what you are really after
and how much you are willing to comprimise on quality.
my digital camera is a bit poor, only 0.9 Mp, so good for computer - so detail is a bit down.
Still will give you good idea.
