urgh...life without internet has been so ugly and painful....had to face the real world....and have had serious serious withdrawls from the forum......but now

i have my shiny new laptop yayayayyayay.....!!! arrived today and its very exciting and i feel like an important person with a laptop........ (i know i know, the reality is so harsh but i DO have a very fetching leather carry case thingy thats gotta count for something)
well. i cantr actually figure out how to work it very well yet. i took it next door to show off to the neighbours (come on, u s renters have got to have some kind of clout in the street as frivoulous young ppl who waste their $$s on techonolgy and beer) but all we could manage to do was play that pinball game.....at least it s better than solitaire!!!
so yay. now i have a computer at home. the library lady will be glad. all those obscene things homebrand kept sending me.......was putting the kids off their books....

anyway. im back. kinda. once exams are over (next sat) i intend to waste at least a third of my waking time in here once more.

my laptop has a full size keyboard...
as well as a 15.4" screen.
and i can carry it around with me...
it doesn't burn my legs..and it is as quick as most desktops...
i can burn dvds..and i can watch my own movies on a plane...
it also has a built in sub-woofer.
and i can carry it around with me...
and it has wireless internet access..as well as bluetooth
it also has fire-wire...and inbuilt 10/100/1000lan card...
and the screen doesn't shake when i type.
do i win this arguement??

therapy groups are good, i suggest sassafras in paddington where ubercool students like us can get laptop and caffeine therapy for $1.50 monday to friday (youve gotta love a place that does student coffees at student prices!) Exams suck... im attempting to cram for one thats next monday morning, and i have an assignment thats due friday which i have researched but havent started. wish me luck... i think i need it. (i think i need coffee too!)

I've just completed what should be my second last exam. Last one on Saturday. Only its not second last cos uni sucks and they are bitching about 5 marks in one subject over 5 years even though I have 18 credit points too many already at greater than credit average, but ARRRGH I have been drinking too much beer, and am now sitting n computer lab, running down my internet quota for the year, waiting to sober up so I can drive home, have a maccas munchie attack on the way, get home and realise wednesday TV sucks hugely, so just sit and stare at the fishank wondering how long till the guppy drops its bundle.... sad life.
I'll be in sunny crazy Qld in the week after christmas. You can walk past me if I cross you in the street. I understand.

I was doing a bit of study at work last night and the laptop displayed a message on the toolbar telling me a network had been detected. So I connected and hey presto, internet at work on my laptop.
That was the end of the study and assignment work!
