Hi all

The mrs and I have decided to give London the elbow and move to Perth in a couple of years (she's from Sydney and im from London). we were wondering what regulations and restrictions there are in WA for importing your cars. Mine is a 1956 oval with a cage, big engine, FIA seats, FIA harnesses, its MSA log booked and road legal. hers is a 1960 ghia coupe thats been lowered and had seat belt mounts added. i would be using the oval for racing in WA as well as daily driving.

🙂

Hi Jimby,

Nice oval mate! Perth is a great place with a great VW community(Im biased of course!)
In re: to licencing, you might have to get an engineer to approve all mods if any major ones, car must be structurally sound and rust free. All ID tags and chassis numbers legible and basically everything working ie: lights, etc etc...
I'll try and get the licencing website to you...www.dpi.wa.gov.au
