i was reading through the latest vma and was couldnt help but think that some people get a style they like and thats it for the rest of there lives ,reading through the article tells me these people made a similar style bug back in the 80s but back then it had a whale tail no offense to the people i am talking about each to there own. my whole piont here is will i be still trying to lower my bus when the thing to do is raise it or leave it stock, with all the next gen saying its nice but what is he thinking i would have done this, thats so 04.
maybe i think to much

we're all driving cars that are very close to being thirty years old or more, I think we are all living in the past:blah

and some of us arent even half as old as our rides :P
i would rather say im showing my love for retro design than living in the past
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

A good looking car is still good looking no matter when you build them. Just look at a KG whether it was made in the 50s,60s or 70s it's still a stunning car and I,d have one before any new car on sale (if the wife would let me that is). If that's living in the past so what.

A beetle I had in the 70s and 80s was lowered, smoothed out and had a duck tail (did they have these in Oz,like a small whale tail) and a v.strong engine and I reckon looked every bit as good as styles done today.

People ask me what style my bus is.
It isnt any style its dave style.
I dont think you have to follow any certain style, thats the thing with volksises you make them how you want them.
If its right for you then its the right style, even if it offends the volksie duffers whoo complain if the door lock bolts arnt the correct colour????
I personally dont like whale tails and torana tail lights ,, but if you do then Im cool with that. One turned up at the show on the weekend, good on him.

Cheers
Dave
