Hoping to service the 62 tomorrow, and was wondering, is there anything i should know before i do it.

what grade of oil, what sort of air cleaner, spark plugs, points? I know nothing about VW servicing as this is my first and this one is well over due in time.

Fill me in on what i need to know.

Cheers peoples. 😎

Do you have an oil filled air cleaner? If so, empty it and fill it with fresh oil. There's no oil filter. You need a gasket for the sump cover plate from a VW shop. Take the plate off after you drain the oil and clean out the Gauze filter inside the sump. I'm not explaining it very well...
