Good day for me, drove Pige to her old stamping ground (the school) and the to the trimmers to get a quote on the seat. Getting it restiched in two weeks! had a yarn about replacing the headliner, so she's happy.
Then I logged on to Ebay and found I was the winner for a 6Volt radio for Jodie's bug. Its really a splitty radio but it will fill the hole in the Beetle OK, and its a genuine period VW radio, so Cool!

Seeing as though its a chopped panel & is not "original" anyway i'm certainly not going for a tame look Kafer.Its being painted phantom ford purple on the bottom half & white on the top with all chrome bumpers,badge etc...
I'm really getting sick of some of the preaches on here(not in our thread) carrying on about splitty panelvans that have been chopped.Its not like i chopped it & in hindsight i possibly would have chosen a more "original" bus with windows but at least i'm getting her fixed up & back on the road.Chopped panel or not.....shes still a splitty!!!!!:cussing

hmm, well i haven't seen heaps of really good ones in the 'flesh' yet so i am yet to decide really. i'd have to lean towards type 3's (simply because i have one), and some early beetles. pre 65ish i think 😀
