I was visiting my mate tonight and came out to the car to return home, and discovered someone had smashed my front windscreen (top left) and also had badly dented the left hand pillar adjacent to the windscreen.

Why do these bastards get there thrills by vandalising other peoples stuff? Thank god it wasnt my VW, but is bad enough as it is the wifes runabout. Maybe it's because it's a Mitsubishi.

The same car has been keyed along both sides and back, run into and damaged while I parked in the street (and no note left) and now this. All three incidents happened on separate occasions in 3 different locations. Maybe someone doesnt have a liking for Mitsubishi Mirages.

Anyway, sorry to be ranting and raving but I am sooo bloody pissed off, and I cant do anything about it. Might be time to trade the beaten up old wreck (but in perfect mechanical condition) on something else, but then again, if this is going to keep on happening then why buy a nice new car.

I hope no-one else has to go through a similar experience.

Steve

Word gets around not to touch that particular car when the orthapedic surgeon in town starts getting busy.

This kind of reminds me of a few years ago when I purchased a brand new Hyundai Lantra station wagon (I know, I know). Anyway, the thing was a lemon and broke down the day after I bought it, but the point of my story is that a week after I bought it I was passing through King St in Melbourne and some numbnut threw a beer bottle that happened to hit my new car, which put a reasonable sized dent and scratch in the front guard. By the time I realised what had happened and pulled over the idiot had runoff laughing.

Apart from the fact that it could have gone a foot or so further back and up (and possibly killed me) it also damaged my brand new car. Whilst I can understand people's objections to Hyundai's (I'm no longer a fan after owning mine for 6 months of problems and finally trading it), I hate when people mess with other people's shit.

I have slept on the incident that happened last night and I am still just as mad as when I discovered it.

OK, who did it? Own up.

A very angry Steve

lol, you guys dont know the meaning of car fear. Where I lived back in London we used to have bets to see what make of car would be set ablaze on the field across the road from us every weekend!

Or a car would be nicked and dumped and within a week it was strippped and then torched!

Nasty little sods.

I saw on TV a car rigged up with flame throwers underneath, when someone tried to break in, they would trigger, subsequently warming up the attacker.
It was South Africa though!!!
Another guy had somehow rigged up a high voltage through his car when locked, someone tried to break in and bang, he was zapped, the car owner was taken to court and I believe he got away with it.

I don't know what part of London Gibbo's from but I could leave my car in the street, windows open with the keys in the ignition (after a night on the p@#*-i was young and stupid then as opposed to older and stupid) and in the morning I'd have the keys through my letter box and my car would be locked up and the windows would be shut. That was only in the 80's but vandalism is generally driven by jealousy, the trouble is you never catch them.
