Did any one see the listing for the VW Tourag on ebay last night, this is a link,

I thought at stunk like a scam, so I sent an enquiring email to the seller, this is what I got back.

I'm very glad that you like my car and I can only say that you have good taste about cars!This car was never crushed, droped or raced,no scathches,no dents and also it has a clear title. I took care of it like it was my own baby and now is in the same condition as it was when I bought it - even better!

The price is AU$11400 including shipping to your home address.
Shipping will be done via Lufthansa Air Cargo from London,United Kingdom and it will take no more then 4 days for the car to arrive at the delivery location.I am in the Military and Lufthansa will manage me a low price for shipping and if you will pay the money transfer taxes,I will pay for the shipping fees.I will arrange for you not to pay any dutyes when the car will pass through customs.In this way the car can be delivered to your home address.

Funny that, there was a Porsche 930 for $9.5k two days ago. I sent an email to the seller and got exactly the same wording as above. Then when I enquired about the car location, he gave me a long story about how he lived in Aus but married a Pommy and shipped the car to London. Now the wife is pregnant and the 930 had to go. When I asked him about the previous Aus rego # and State, I got no response.

Scammers describe Square Trade as being something it's not. It doesn't collect money from anyone, it doesn't monitor transactions in progress, it doesn't warehouse goods. Re escrow, the only legit escrow service I know of is escrow.com, which does hold money pending approval of a transaction. There are lots of bogus escrow services that are part of scams.


I was on Ebay Sunday night ( 10/10) and there was a 2004 BMW 330Ci Convertible Sport at auction for $75.00 US. I emailed him that he should know that he'd made a mistake when posting his price. The next morning I looked for it and it was gone but he had replied to me with the following email:

I looked him up on Ebay using the jessevallin that he used on his geocities website. There is such a person , but surely not the same one. I think he may be fraudulanty using someone elses account because the account holder has a long history of selling old Record Albums ! I've emailed that seller and Ebasy security about the BMW auction.

I've received anothr email asking for my full anme and shipping address-and of course I will not give it to him.

Any ideas how we can catch this guy in the act?

If it sounds too good to be true....well you know the rest.

He told me that Mr E.Bay himself visited him and checked he was O.K.
This is not a scam, If he can get Mr E. Bay at his house then he must be an honest sort of guy,
Anyway I'm happy with the vehicles I have bought of him.
1, Tourag, for $17.50
1 930 I got the 1996 model for $20.00 landed at my door, gave the transporter guy a tip of $2.00 as I know i got a bargain.
1. F40 bit expensive this one at $27.39
