A new man to the world of restoring/customising Beetles, I was wondering if anyone had any pics they would like to share of their own Bug Interiors. I am looking to get a new hoodlining/carpet/cd player w/ speaker door panels installed, and want to know how the more experienced guys have done it.
And if possible, could any of you let me know of good interior places anywhere in the Sydney region? It would be a big help.
Cheers.
I had my carpet and front seats done by Rod Penrose in Kembla Grange (5min sth of wollongong), it is a top quality job and i am very happy with it.
I have had the headlining done also but not at time of the picks.

i put my amp under the back seat and got a rubber pad from battery shop to put under amp, 2 back speakers went into the rear back seat and chocked the doors at the font to put the other speakers,, but had to re wirer the speakers with good cable other than the one already in car,, sounds like a disco .. i took old carpet to a carpet place and got them to cut carpet and overlock it and put it in car..........colleen

i sound proofed my floor before i put in the carpet and the carpet sticks to the sound proofing and stays in place and when you replace carpet again kero will help loosen the sound saves gluen the carpet on to colleen
thats a nice job buzz. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost? I've heard of a generic product called BlackJack to seal my floor with to dampen the sound coming through the road, and I plan to stick as much high-density foam/rubber in the rear of the car to try to stop the noise of the Kad's...as much as you can quiet a bug, that is...
had a full custom interior with cloth inserts in the seats and a set of custom door trims which set me back $1200 but i can only get photos of the trims due to the accident earlier this year

was told not to put foam and rubber in the back as the car sweats and that causes rust,,,,,,,get road base sound its from CARGROOMERS about$$ 100$ a 20lt tin roll it on with brush and do the whole car inside doors back panel and underneath so much less noise and you can insulate the back panel of the motor to stop noise to use cargroomers products on heaps of things they have a great polish as weel it has cornubia wax in it easy to put on and get off and u can put it on all the black trim plastic and etc and even the fridge colleen
