Has anyone bought any carb setups on the samba and then shipped them over here? I'm after a dual carb setup that's not too big (probably 36s) so I'm looking at small Dellortos. Some of the prices on the samba look fairly good but I'm not sure how much I'm going to get stung to get them over here. Is this the wrong way to go about it?

Its a weight thing that you will get stung on.
Most carb sets on the samba are complete kits.
So you would have 2 carbs, 2 manifolds, linkages, fuel lines and such. It starts to weigh a little.
Probably just as cheap to buy a set here in OZ

I bought a pair of 40 dells with air cleaners, linkage and manifolds off the samba. Shipping from california to brisbane was around US$50. I got hit with AU$75 customs duty even though they were second hand parts. The carbs etc cost US$350.

Took friggin ages to get here - thought the guy duped me...but after around 12 weeks approx they arrived.
