those end caps thingos have a sharp point int the middle do you just leave it like that or do you file it to take the point off??

You fit the end cap underneath the trim, and then bend the pointed bit down , this keeps the plastic insert in.

so the end cap sits flush on the end of the trim the screw holds end cap in pos put the insert in then bend the point over the insert??

cool cant wait to see the bus with it on , maybe there should be a valla style show down the south coast around batemans bay or narooma so i can see the bus

When we first came to Aus we stayed at Penrith, that was our base then headed to Batemans Bay. I wanted to settle in BB but we opted for the Gold Coast instead.

my sister lives in batemans bay and my dad lives in narooma i went to school down in narooma about 65ks south of bb unspoilt down there uncrowded waves friendly people and i live in sunny penrith

so you are not in a vw club then LOL , why let someone who hasnt built a bus judge one , just drive and enjoy thats what my bus is for.

actually one year at the nationals i got 2 trophys one for best mod kombi and one for peoples choice and i was not in a vw club, my girlfriend won the raffle and my niece won the colouring in contest was very embarrasing

I am a member of a club and they have had a change of leadership and its looking a lot better.
At the last show , the only one I have entered my bus due to the mates having a go at me.
Well 3 of us put our kombis in and stayed with them ALL day and the judges didnt even come near us, So me a cynic, never.
My bus is for me to enjoy, it isnt a show bus.
Anyway, I will be having a go at the trim tomorrow.
Hey whats the worst I can do to brand new 2 pac paint?????
Now it is a 2 mm drill, I will go and buy half a dozen so they stay sharp.

Thats what made my day, just seeing normal people enjoying the bus, not the VW so called faithfull , the ones that know what colour the screws should be.or the thickness of the foam in the door panels????
Right I'm off to the garage to drill about 200 holes in my bus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
