ever though about a turbo. That engine is renowned for responding really well to them. Because it's a diesel, they love turbos, just fit a front mount intercooler off a jap import petrol turbo and it would go great.

think about a turbo all the time ;-)

apparently its not a great idea with the 1500 engine 'cos the turbo models have xtra oil jets, and a stronger head. however, i've often thought it would go a fair bit better just running a turbo at low psi with an intercooler and not put too much pressure on the engine.....

a more permanent and fun mod would be a 1.9 tdi swap...if anyone ever finds a rear-ended written off new diesel golf, tell me😎
