Well I did it. Drove to Melbourne for the show, delivered some parts, met some people and bought some (reasonably priced) stuff.
Overall there was a bit of interest in the thought of having a forum based courier who loves his dubs and is happy to do long haul deliveries. I got my petrol money back at any rate on this trip and got to eat ice cream from a MrWhippy van in the middle of Bummphuk Victoria in the 38degree heat coming home.
So much fun, so many pieces of roadkill to examine that I'm thinking of doing it all again.
Looking for suggestions on this as I will be looking to hit the swapmeets between say, Brissie and Melbourne and possibly use them as meeting points for jobs. Or, I can easily provide door to door service on the weekends if that suits better.
It's a long hours, long drive, much petrol type of venture so I obviously will be charging for it but it will be competive to other forms of transport considering the level of service that they won't provide.
Any ideas, or questions I'm all ears.
