With mine being from the UK, they are not Australian Standard compliant. So therefore I can not sell them as seat belts, if you know what I mean. Same with any overseas seat belt.
We can get them in black, tan, grey blue and red. With Chrome buckles made in the UK
Also Woldsburg Crest stickers available
3 point inertia $165
Lap static $176
3 point static $217

Or Supercheap $54 does the job but looks crap

At the risk of stealing a post I would be keen on hearing what Inspection can be done to make Non ADR belts approved ? Would make buying cool belts much cheaper.

Gees guys,

Seatbelts also have to have the AS confirmation tag sewn 'in'
to pass inspection (and a good thing too).

You can buy seat belts direct online from the major Australian
manufacturer (they rebrand for nearly everyone in Oz) Hemco
iun Ballarat, and you'll be pleasantly surprised at the price
for a legal belt that is certified to the relevant Oz Standard....

They have a website at:

http://www.angelfire.com/biz/hemco/seatbelts.html

(hmm pity about the cheesy advertising trap - that never used to be there!)

regards

Hold on one minute before you start implying I am using huge mark ups. I never said mine were from Cip 1, in fact my suppliers' belts are made in the UK to stringent Standards. So how can you compare prices. If they are cheaper from Cip1 thats fine.
I do not believe that overseas belts will be compliant in Aus.
I was asked a question directed to me, to provide an alternative price, by a previous happy customer which I have answered, truthfully.

As for my mark ups, you could post a thread on this site and ask who is the cheapest supplier of quality VW parts throughout Australia.

Also who is bringing in parts that were otherwise unobtainable.

Maths that is a strong point of mine.

By the way Wolfsburg stickers - pack of 2 - $1.70

We know who is selling parts at the cheapest prices in Australia.
The same company who is bringing in stuff that no one else will.

Yes its Classic VW(pacific)

NOT classic Sydney or any of the other old companies.

I believe the rumours that Dave and Roy are in the middle
of a torrid affair are unfounded........I mean Dave has kids right?

RobK

(Actually, just at this moment I am thinking of having an affair with Roy myself. I have been waiting for some well-priced BRMs for nearly a year from a vendor
here in Vic. I just bought them from Roy who had them in stock
and sold them for a price so close it didn't matter.... To be fair
to the other vendor they did agree to return my deposit
with absolutely no grief and shit does happen.....)

oki if you cannot get overseas belts accepted what happens to the low volume and personal imports do they all have to have the seatbelts changed?

I think I am right in saying that seatbelt threads are standard I got some from Supercheap and they fitted fine, but look crap, cost $54. I personally would not hesitate in buying and fitting overseas belts but that is personal choice. After all how many VW's are actually legal.
