thats sounds like a mate of mine who always reckons he can outrun faster cars just coz they dont race him off the lights, ever thought the skyline wasnt trying, i mean cmon, a laser would never beat a skyline in a real race.

You have to have some fun thou. I myself being an immature 20 year old have had my fair share of 'traffic light grandprix' sessions. The beetle of mine although only a single port 1600 is good fun. I get an awesome launch with the 205's on the arse and the squat action of the rear suspension. I rev the ring in 1st, drop 2nd to 30mph quite quick then when i know they well and truely have traction i back off and think it as a win as i genually did get them off at the lights. If they dont have the ability to get a good launch and do a typical rev and drop, i can win..... If they get the launch.... i'm f**ked. Love it when they do the big fly by..... Always makes me laugh. Even better when another km up the road here they are on the side of the road being issued with a ticket for speeding. :thumb

hehe so this is the time that you soup up the beetle to make it actually beat the skyline in a real race...
that really teaches them in a lesson... (oh and for those that are wondering..it works just as well i a golf 😀😀)
