this lowering job was a real cheapy.
all the work was home done by dave and i. how ever the beam was already made and i swapped my old beam for it and the spindle were pretty much what ruckus said.
the work wasn't that hard, we just hit a few snags that held us up, but these weren't susp related.

I know this shouldn't be a consideration and I'm not being a party pooper - just curious: how drivable is it now? I've got my spindles in and really like the height - think I'll stick with it - but this does look pretty awesome!

ok ok its own up time, that is at its lowest setting, that means that if i want to go in a straight line its great.
I tried getting out daves gate, that required turning. instead of making an atempt i drive back into the garage and raiesed it up a little.
it now sits still very low but almost so that the adjust are at only 1/4 the way down.
turning circle is rather good, but not as good as standard.
The ride is smooth as, its like driving a standard suspension car.

So are you running shockers?

Ive been driving on my narrowed beam for a year now and not a problem.

Does anyone have ideas on what tyre and rim combo to run?

Well you would have fixed your fender brakes!
Now you might have bucket brakes.
Get yourself some Continetals 145x15 low profile.
This will stop your tyres rubbing on your head light buckets.
