ok my suicidal engine looks like it has finally died. Won't be sure untill we pull it, but it has fat spark, fuel, and everything but doesn't start and is making a wheezing noise. I'll probably end up with the engine in bubbles but i'm just getting options at the moment. So if anyone has a running, good nick type1 engine preferably 1500 or 1600 nothing smaller as it is a baja. Preferable in QLD Brisbane area but i'll consider anything. I'm looking not to spend more than $600-800 max but for me to pay that much it better be in really good nick. Help me AVD!

VWs are a finite resource; even 1500, 1300, 1200 motors. espesh if they complete & running and espesh for a coupla hunny $$ . you prob get more of a response if you part offer any of your own surplus bits...
