I personally like Kirribilli - but it helps if you have friends in the area. I spent the Olympics and one NYE on their rooftop. Excellent views.

Ok, so maybe Oxford St may be a bit, um, adventurous. I'm not trying to be anal or anything, just want our interstate visitor to have a gay old time.

I can also reccomend Redfern station as a great place to meet friendly locals. Followed by a drive down to Lakemba for a tasty kebab.
Don't forget to walk through Mount Druitt at 3am wearing those tight pants.
