Agreed Kafer, theres a few things that should be done to those folk who prey, and none nice!😠

Yeah, Rob has a quiet street, nice neighbours as well. They bought the 'we are just here to mow his lawn' story as well. Pige'll get out the drive, just not over any speed hump in a shoppiing centre 😀

It really is sickening & unfortunately having been to Thailand & seen the young kids working in these strip clubs etc......& the gross big wig europeans that head there for holidays & take advantage of these kids is really horrible & not a pleasant exhistence. It makes me want to cry every time i think of what these kids have been through with this tsunami & to now possibly enter this scumbag world of god knows what is just to gut wrenching.

Sue and I were going to go to Phuket in March....obviously we won't be going.

I'd still like to see how things are later in the year as these people rely on the tourist trade to live.....we've donated but would still like to help more.

Anyhoo on the lighter side of to sea world tomorrow or seal world as daughter calls it.

can't wait to see the look on her face when she seas the dolphins.
wouldn't mind feeding the sharks either...after 4 weeks of school holidays have a couple of kids that would keep them fed for a couple of days.....:P....only joking of course....or am I ?

:cry....5 more sleeps till i go back to the salt mines

kafer it is bad....the trafficing....it is horrible when people do these things at the bast of times let alone when people n kids are at their lowest ebb......FARK!!!!

Yes they do rely on the tourist trade over there to survive so if people can get back there at a decent time it o would be excellent...life does go on for the living and if we don't go badk then they will suffer financially....

We do the same...the tourist industry here in Oz is big....the backpackers the biggest because they buy locally over long periods...and the money stays here.....unfortunately we do need to keep working and with-out the tourists we'd be lost....OK they do change some of our local communities but they are providing employment and maybe not so many young ones head into the city if their towns are buzzing a bit..AND it is a proven fact that they do help the environment by wanting to see it in as pristine condtion as they can....it has stopped some oil drilling already here

Hey Mandie....no won't take her to the meeting....well it depends if I work that day or not....don't want to leave her in the cheap car park I use when I drive into work ... I stay in town for the meeting...I've gotta try and get myself over to visit you...

Trying to head out the door for the weekend...don't know where I'm going or in which car...depends how far I decide to drive

I have the movie site in the background....the music is so nice in the background....

I'm a little confused, how many bugs do you have??

Not much happ'n here,i should be painting for the market but am procrastanating & cruising the forum instead.I'm a little bit over working for myself, its been 7 years now & i'm sick of having to constantly motivate myself to work especially on weekends when everyone else is playing.Might look for some casual work at the end of the summer just for something different & a guarenteed income over the winter.

I'll probably just join an agency & get some sort of factory work Something no brainer that i can go in,do the job, come home & not think about(which would be the same as night fill but i don't think i could do that after watching Steven do it for a couple of years & hate it!!)Plus i'd prefer to work days.
So whats the plan for the beetle.....rat??

Howdy PPL
Back into the usual grind of status quo life! I feel quite a lot better now I have finally made it out of Australia, I feel a release of despare I have been carrying for years It was always one of my biggest fears that I would grow up and die and not see anything of the world we live in. I have been realitively lucky in that I have travelled most of our country, and in areas that are not the usual tourist havens. Over the years I have spoken to many travelers from round the globe, and being the person I am, asking them every question I could think of about their country of origin.
This was the reason for my desire to find out for myself. but having a young family and not having a trade or proffesion thing's have always been financialy tight! It has always been a very frustrating cross to bear that I didn't do any over sea's traveling when I was young and childless, I kick myself every day for this! although after this trip, It is interesting to see that PPL from my age group or the one's that travelled in the 70's are going around for the second time now their children have flown the nest, and hostels and backpackers are still their their accomadation of choise, and that the young PPL have no hassel with this, you sort of become their defacto parent in a funny sort of way, and they ask you questions about life!
While I was in NZ I met three PPL that left a lasting impression on me, one was a bloke close to my age that had worked on cargo ships, another was an Irish lass, a law degree graduate, and the last an automotive parts manufacturer project manager from Germany . We spent every night at the local pub going home well after midnight each night, the younger one's would come with us too and we would talk about all sorts of global issue's. I feel a lot better now after this cause they are thinking about the worlds future and seem to be quite sensible and caring.
Next stop is Germany (Bad Camberg) the UK and Gibraltar, in 2007 where I can vist my new found buddy's.

Glad you enjoyed yourself Rob,
you never quite know how things are till you can see them for yourself. Even though NZ is very close to us in distance and culture, they are so very different from us as well.
I am lucky in that work has sent me to lots of places people don't usually go to.
Hope you get to Bad Camberg, Gibraltar and everywhere in between 🙂 (just remember to take lots of pics and any V W parts you can find :P)

PS. We looked in on Pige, but decided to leave her alone, she looked lonely in the garage, so we just sat and talked to her 🙂

Rob welcome back!!!!

Yes I know what you are talking about....that's why I luv working where I do....meeting travllers to our shores all the time....it makes you look at the world differently....and it's not all as bad as most think...we can become too insolated at times and only ever believe what we see or hear in the media....I see so much hope....there are people all about the world of all ages that care and are thinking...we are not all so different

penguin you softened.....pige must have got to you all alone in the shed :sandrine
