hi all was looking for any sort of intrest as i am wanting to sell to get funds for my ej20t conversion into my bug
so anyway my motor is out of my beetle, it is a 2L stroked out to 2.5L, 103 pistons, 74mm stroker crank, mild cam, porsche alternator and cooling conversion, was running machanical injection but now running a single idf webber cause i was going to turbo it, but have decided to go down the water cooled path, car can be test driven goes extreamly well strong motor was looking for around the $4500 to $5000 mark
also i have the swingaxle gearbox that it is bolted to it is a super diff close ratio 3rd and 4th very good box around the $1000 mark

How much would you want for the whole car???
I am assuming the rear apron can be bolted on and that you also have a deck lid??
Do you have any pics of the interior?
Does the engine bay seal properly or are there gaps?

anyone got some detailed specs on this motor???
what do you want to know,,this bug goes like theres no tomorrow,,so much torque you peel your ears of the back window,,,was built by a vw machanic of 30 years.this motor with twins will lift the front for sure.the exhurst stops it,as it hits the ground....you wont build this motor under 6k,and then the porsche gear cooling etc.do the sums....

Is it a t4 motor hanging off the gearbox with no rear engine mount? If this is the case then I should be able to put a t4 into the splitty using upright tinware and no rear engine mount and moustache bar.

was it a stock beetle case? and if so is there any case strengthening or extra oil cooling of anykind? ie: bolt on sump. also what are the 103mm pistons and barrells out of? kombi? are the heads stock or bored and if so what size? how many k's has the engine done? and when was it last stripped down?

no mate it is a type 4 case was a 2l stroked to 2.5l heads were boared out to suit the 103mm pistons the engine was converted to upricht using the porsche altornator and cooling fan
sorry forgot to pistons are forged motor hase done about 15000 kilometers was pulled down and rebuilt about 5 months ago

this doesnt fit to standard engine mounts does it, merely hanging off the gearbox and straps?

It will fit any VW that has upright cooling.Thats the bargain of the year.There's over $4,000 invested just to buy the cylinders,crank and the cooling system. Why weren't you trying to sell it B4 I started on mine? Adam Debiasi has one this size in a 58 Beetle and pulls high 12's,so just imagine what it would be like cruising the streets.Some one buy it and get the Beetle (or Splitty) ride of your life.

Ill swap it for a P-76 Leyland V8 with a hot cam and at 240hp
cold cranking Compression at 185-200 with adaptor but for a 2ltr box.
Think that would fit in to your bug?
