Has anybody found their shipping costs to be ridiculously high?

I wanted to buy a set of injector seals and a carb synchroniser, total value about US$25, maybe 2kg max and they quoted about US$65 for shipping. Based on this I didn't go through with the purchase and emailed them about their shipping costs. They replied saying that on larger orders their shipping costs were very competitive. As I haven't need to place a 'large' order I've never found out.

I think you have to get seat belts with an AS standard number on them so they prove they have been tested to Aussie standards. Not sure but you dont want to find out the hard way!

Had shipping problem with them and they charge like wounded bulls for freight but it is shipped quick. Had a $140 bill from DHL for as well as CIP1 shipping charge on $165 worth of parts!!!!!!! They will not send by post so DHL/Fedex hits you with a gst/tax bill every time you order.
Problem: I got probed by Aliens last night...............and I think I like it!.........E.T call ME.

I bought parts from them... parts are great quality....

but I had them sent to an address My Sister was visiting in the US.. and she then sent them to My by Post....

took a couple of months to arrive but No tax import duty etc

and didn't cost that much for postage....

I am finding lots of FAULTS with US companies...
Parts & Pricing is OK but many won't take a credit card or PAYPAL unless You live in the US and then they Want to Tell YOU How they are going to send them....
Most won't send by Post.... so the freight is EXPENSIVE and often is MORE than the parts themselves....

I tried to buy some VW stickers from a US company that wouldn't accept My credit card or paypal and wanted to charge $15US for air freight when they could have stuck them in an envelope and posted them as a letter!!!!
I couldn't get that across to them!!!
