as part of the summernats rules , elite show vehicles had to be driven into the pavillion to be put on display and then driven back out . I saw the 'silver bullet' drive in but lots of smoke was coming out through the hole in the bonnet . when he set the car up on display he was madly mopping up oil on the engine and to his embarrasment had to be towed from the pavillion in front of thousands of people who lined the streets to see the elite parade . he did drive it again in the supercruise but I didn't see it .

the previous photo is of the door panel , not the dash sorry .
this is the pedals on the right side of the console . the clutch pedal is on the left side of the console , so you drive with one leg either side .

dont forget that this was built as a show car and it is highly unlikely that there is any guts in the lower blower . I noticed that the top blower was overdriven more than the bottom one . check out how his car is put on display , 4 blower housings under the wheels . he is not short of empty blower housings

The stacking of superchargers is pretty much just show value. The air is compressed by the first one and fed into the second one at the same rate at which the first blower pushes it out. No extra boost is provided. All it does is take a little bit of pressure off the crank.

To get value from two superchargers they need to feed into a common plenum.

hey hypo-vw, i was there and you would be pleased to know that i was able to score a shot load of voting slips from this drop kick renta cops table and put about 20 votes in for your dub! i recon you might of had it if you had the car up on 4 old 1600 vw blocks painted purple lol. did you see the v8 excel (that took a fellow vw nut to build) hit the guard rail in the burnouts?

Congrats on the top 60!!

I just went over to check the damage on the excel, just panels luckily.

Would you belive the burnout he did in the eliminations was the first time the car had been driven, so all the boys were relieved to see it perform so well.

Mango Dream is being a bit over done with the posting of pic's and while a top car I know what it looks like as I've seen it @ Valla and on so many other threads it's becoming boring

Yes, congrats too for the Mango bug.....having just moved to Canberra the day the 'Nats finished, I didn't get to see anything...but read the reports in the papers after it. Well done!

Anyone here on the forum own the green baja bug that was on a trailer, in the carpark of the Saville suites here in Canberra? I took a couple of shots of it...very sweet ride....

hey thanks for the votes , I just didn't have that many buggered engine blocks just laying around as VW's dont die and go to heaven on the east coast , we repair or rebuild them . I didn't get to see the hyundai sorry , just too much going on and my son Dean kept us close to the horsepower heroes dyno pavillion all weekend . seen some very impressive big hp V8's though . a normally aspirated 454 LJ torana with 749.4 hp and a late model holden supercharged with 1248hp . VERY IMPRESSIVE .
