i spent a few hours today working on the bus, i was really struggling to get on the rear bumper and i though it wasnt going to fit, the reason i thought it wasnt going to fit was it had been in a few crashes and i had it straightend and chromed , when the guys chromed it they stripped out all the mounting brackets probably to get behind to straighten it.
so after a couple of trial and errors i managed to get it on all level and square to the car and i must say what a difference to cars look and what a great feeling.
days like these help keep up the motivation in a 2 year plus battle with the bus , although i thought it would only take half an hour to get it on it took the best part of 3 hours for me to be finally happy
cheers darren

I know the feeling, its great when it finally happens even though it might take you longer. i have been promising to put the windows in my delux for months now but when I get round to it I will be a lot happier. I have fitted my back bumper but still have the splash guards to fit and now I'm considering towel rails too.

I do 2 hours a day without fail and bit by bit i see it coming together. Just don't look at the big picture too much as it can seem so far away. Nice to have a day like that than 3 hrs getting 2 rusted bolts out!

i know about all these dramas ,i also spend a couple of hours a day or when i can sometimes it seems that things are going backward , you know just finish one job that just created another you didnt expect, like now i am going to build a custom exhaust well i am going to attempt it anyway, the headers are there allready so i guess that is a bonus.

on one hand i am so excited that the end is getting closer and on the other i think i am going to have to find something else to work on because i enjoy the days like today

Just before you get it on the road you will be thinking of your next project.
