Ha ha! made me smile t'day. drove past a very retro looking skate shop so i stopped and went in. Heaps of cool stuff and got chatting , as you do. Guy asked me what i wanted and what i used to ride. his reply was .." Shit that IS old skool , never heard of it! ".
I asked him if he had heard of Tony Alva , G&S , and all the Dogtown skaters in the US that started it all and he looked at me like i'd asked him for a pash!!!

iam 30 and i get funny looks at skate shops as i still TRY to ride as much as poss. but the body doesnt take it to well
old skool for me is Natas Corpus and Lee Ralph not the dog boys
I know the feeling, can't beat the old school feel.
It appears to me that there are many on this forum who are indeed old or olde, however you wish to say it, but very few who are old/e skool. I shall now prepare myself for the onslught of insults from fellow forum members.:P

I am so far past Olde Skool, I cant even get a bus back to Olde Skool..
What's the problem with skating at 30? I'm 34 and no problems. Even skate with the kids on my arm. And I love my longboard. You can get out for a ride even on a crap day (and don't have to listen to the egomaniac wanker macho shorties who think they own the ocean).
It's only a midlife crisis if you start some NEW hobby for fear of running out of time. If you just keep it going, you're just being YOU. True?
Screw the kids who look at you funny. It's all about fun, that's why we drive dubs right?
