As described, I'd like to find out the 'backspace' dimension for Falcon EA-EL 15-inch wheels - cop steelies or alloys. (I know that 'offset' is the correct way to describe this measurement these days, but it's far easier to simply measure straight from the rear edge of the rim to the mounting face!)
Does anybody know off-hand what this measurement is?

G'day,
The "backspace" measurement for those rims is 100mm, standard bay 14s are 123mm, therefore the Falcon rims fitted to a Bay would sit 25mm further out than standard rims, as Bay rims are 5.5" and Falcon are 6". This is assuming that this what you want to do. If so don't fit without machining the bolt pattern to suit Kombi.
A better 15" rim is the AU falcon which measures about 125mm at back.
Cheers, Ian.

I just measured my 6.5" EA Fairlane mag wheels, about 90mm +- 10mm from the inner edge of the rim to the mounting surface.
The number stamped to the rim is 6.5JJ 15 8.4, so assuming the offset is 8.4.

yeah that sounds about right. I measure EL cop rims (15x6) and found it was 95mm backspace
Trying to decide whether EL (95mm) or AU (125mm) will be the best rims to use - my car has a lot of neg camber and I might get away with the EL rims; the car has 100mm backspace 15x6s on it now. But if I didn't have the camber they'd stick out of my standard guards!
