ok guys here`s my question.......twin cab, double cab, crew cab???? makes it hard for seaches, i think i prefer crew cab, anyone know the protocall?
here`s the soon to be ride "after i order some stuff from roy" and looking for ideas for the back side windows, i`ve got rubbers for solid glass but want to get some air in.
Don't know if you can get them but pop out windows would look cool.
Beach Buggy
74 L Beetle
Mk4 Golf
I use twincab.......but the number plates I got were 11CAB for 2 CAB
65 Meyers Manx
68 Country Buggy (KO 367)
68 Country Buggy (KO 669)
68 Country Buggy (KO 789)
68 Country Buggy (KO 815)
68 Baja Bug
76 Baja Kombi Twincab
double cab would be the correct translation of "doppelkabinen" which is the factory assigned name.
or Doka, as they are affectionately known in the fatherland.
thanks guys
I'm going to put pop outs in place of the fixed glass. The rear passenger compartment can be a hot box with no flow through ventilation, even in winter. I have a contact who can help me with the cutting, drilling, and hardening of the glass, and the fixtures. I'll let you know when they are finished.
Cheers
Craig
ps Of course I'm also combining this with aircon, as hot flow through air in Qld is still not much chop!
that sounds great "mr editor"...love to see some pics and hows the air con working out for ya?
I've managed to secure a genuine roof unit for the twin cab, along with various other bits and pieces to go with it. I'll probably have it all in and working by next summer.
Cheers
Craig
the pop outs do look good!, shall have to explore further, thanks guys.
