Hey,
Just wondering if anybody has applied red stripes to their tyres or if you just have to buy the tyres with the stripes already on.
Also if you can apply them yourself where can you get them from?
Any help much appreciated....😉
a guy in S.A uses some little grinder type thing to make grove then paints the red line in about $66

there is a guy in sydney who can do this also. his name is brian.. ahve a number for anybody interested. he can do various colours and thickness

is that your bug behind matties dads white bug? , if so he has the same roof rack ,you might want to take that off , its not like matties dad invented the red walls id say if you want them go for it they look sweet
i have also seen inserts like the white walls but are black with a thin red stripe they mean you cover the writing on the tyre rather than cut a line through it.

how to do it is a different matter they actually angle grind the tyre then paint the red inserts in with some sort of ink.

yeah dave bring out my new 1 on my L plates !! its a 61 with white walls just needs a 3 inch narrowed which is on its way and 1 outer and 1 inner at the back and a new set of rime from roy starting with "R".......................... figure it out !!!

I've got redwalls on my bus. They are painted on after the tyre is grooved out. The only problem is that they fade quite quickly. The paint can't be UV-stable. Need to find some better paint.........

A hell of a lot better than the whitewall flaps, with the chrome of the sprints the red really sets it off.
Just got to save up for the Radars and fit them with the red stripes,
Anyway you can go over them with a uv protector clear or something like that.
And for the moaners, I am slagging off whitewall flaps, and Yes I do have them.
