Well 4.30 pm all hell broke lose in Gosford. Thankfully I'd just got the kids [and the Cab] home under cover 20 minutes beforehand.
We managed to only get a hole in a skylight. I'm still waiting for the SES to come and cover it up for me. Not much other damage, and only one hail dent [minor] on the Cabs engine lid - thank goodness. It was about the only bit sticking out from under the car port. :cry
Hail stones where as big as cricket balls - never seen it that bad or heavy in such a short time.

looks just like the huge hail storms that ripped up bass hill/birrong/yagoona/bankstown in 89 (i think it was 89... i was very young and it was f*&ken scary!!)
hope you didnt get much flash flooding or power lines down... thats the worst part.
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
Squiz,
We had no hail a Koolewong. Very heavy rain and wind though. Under the house flooded out. I'm glad I changed every box for plastic bins 6 months ago! Spent an hour sweeping it out. VW unscathed other than a high water mark on the tyres.

Not cool. Know what ua going through. We had 110km/h winds in bendigo last night that threw 3-4 capping tiles off our roof smashing them, so @ 5am my dad and i were on the roof replacing them. Trees down everywhere. Kilmore just scored 100mm rain in 24 hours. Bendigo got 36mm. Not as bad but enough to make things nasty. Fatality last night on the calder hwy. Need the rain but keep the wind! Beelle is battling it like a man and taking it all out on the drive, however i might drive the commodore today. Beetle is somewhat poor handling in the wet. And the commodore is a 5L V8 so hello wet roads. :thumb

Its an obsesion for engines and fuel.... 😏
hey squiz, you near maragani ave. i gotta house there, and that last pic looks close. hope mine is good.
Simply Cruzin'...
yeah...we had it bad like that a while ago. Where I'm at seems to go under at the drop of the hat. Lightning, thunder, hail.
I think the worst I'ev been in was when three storm fronts hit at once, I was driving, and my car was stuck behind another who had stalled. Water raised up, her kids went mental (watching from mycar) and crawled into parcel trays.
Then I crawled out thru window, told her I would bump her if I could, but she needed to steer us out. raced back to my car (which thankfully was still going) tubled into it as wall of water hit us both, slammed on accelerator and she got us thru.
never been so panicked in my life. ANd for thsoe asking why I did it...
I was half way home when storm front hit, then caught in the middle of the traffic isle with nowhere to pull over too....the road had become a creek bed in 3 minutes flat...
got home, under the house was flooded, but nothing major.
And if I had known that there was snakes and shit in that water (which I found out day after) I would never have gone in.
but yeah...it is scary to be caught in major storm like that.

dubless. 🥲
🥷 And who the helled parked the Mitsubishi "Prancer" under my house??? 🥷
We drove straight into that on Wednesday at 115kph. Thankfully a train's windscreens are bullet proof!
I made a comment to the guy driving (I was heading home), about all those cars you'll be able to get cheap as we came thru west Gosford, & all the car yards.
Then I caught the headlines when I got home. I wasn't far wrong.
Well my friends are gone & my hair is grey, I ache in the places where I used to play.
