Hoodjax - $70 plus P/H
As the thread title says, I can once again supply Hoodjax.
Hoodjax is a decklid stand-off device for Beetles (all years) that allows the top of the engine lid to be propped open for maximum cooling. Thanks to the use of quick-release R-clips, Hoodjax is quickly and easily removed for security and for driving/parking in cold or inclement weather, or for a bone-stock appearance. Ideal for rats or sleepers! Hoodjax is especially ideal for early cars with no vents in engine lid, but beneficial to all.
Hoodjax has been proven time and again over the last decade to assist the cooling of big bore, stroker and turbo engined Beetles. Hoodjax also helps deliver maximum power and reduces the 'hot idle' stumbles that arise from time to time - especially in summer.
Initial installation is DIY and takes around 15 minutes. It requires the drilling of two 10mm holes in your engine lid’s hinge C-brackets, plus the use of some other simple hand tools. Instructions are provided. Hoodjax are plated ready to be installed and can be over-painted to match your car.
After initial installation, Hoodjax can be removed or replaced in seconds – even by the roadside. A secondary benefit is that your engine lid is now quickly removable for easy tune-ups and oil changes.
Cost is $70. Payment (for now, anyway) is COD via Post Office only. Postage and packaging is an additional $10-12, depending on your location.
Sydney enthusiasts - I can sell direct.
International sales POA due to shipping costs and exchange rate.
Hoodjax is a registered design: 149743
I know some of you have been waiting for a while for this – the wait is over!
I am happy to answer any questions either here or privately.
Cheers,
VWCOOL
