hey there can anyone tell me about candy apple red paint my beetle has just been painted in candy apple red cherry and i dont know much about it. i get the car back on saturday and then its off to the apholstras what colours go well with candy apple red for my intereour

Now is the color Candy apple red or is the type of finish Kandy Apple Red? Did you see a color sample?
One is a basic red(XW Phase II) and the other is a translucent candy over a base color(either silver, black etc) Its very expensive to purchase and not many painters will touch the stuff.
Imposible to match and if it needs to be patched a whole side has to be painted and blended.
*Black interior with red piping or inserts...
*Black velour, red piping and red carpet
maybe paint the steering wheel kandy too...
Go for a classic/simple type interior and the car will remain timeless...

its like 15 differant coats of paint lol yer 8 thousand 500 expensive i had about 20 painters say no way lol i was thinking cashmeer wit black vw emblym on the carpet and seats

Thats about right...I might even say $8K is pretty good actually for a kandy. Only experts will touch it...and the ones that are'nt will be exposed instantly!
Figure out what materials you want to use and go from there(leather,vinyl, cloth, suede, velour etc) Design wise its good to replicate the red in some form for continuety.

um sss in bays water its all leather with cut pile carpet i heard kandy cant go in the sun and if it is after 2 years it will fade to the max but i was just told i can get it polarised

in the past 2 weeks its been panelbeated stone chiped all the chasis and floorpan and sanded and now painted and then on mon its of to the apholstres. i think its safe to say he is 1 lucky beetle

Not House of Kolor Kandy's as far as Im aware. Just make sure you keep the clear coats polished with a good polish/wax regularly.
What year Beetle is it?
If your doing a leather then Id go for a beigh/tan with baseball stitching.

yep of coarse i will post picks within the next week. and since you live in perth you might see me hooning around hehehe nah i dont really have a budget ma 1st car so mum and dad think there spending it on more safety things like brakes and that which i have got all new aswell. there is a show in march i wanna enter but dunno weither my car will be good enough

was gonna say run 17 inch brms... empis would be too shiny and take away from the kandy red
i reckon for interior colour go with a light cream colour with red inserts, looks fairly original and classic, will go well with your car colour of choice.
its fun trying to think of colour schemes isnt it, doing the same with mine, have fun
no matter what you decide im sure you will think it is fantasic

also go the shiney wheels ive seen a few cars in kandy with wheels that are duller and they look rubbish. even the ones that are chrome and just not polished nice look ugmo compared to when the wheels are polished up all sexy :sandrine

That sounds hot !!!! I agree the Empi 5's will look smashing !! Nothing beats a leather interior, my fave is a cream color. white is a bit bright and in your face, but cream will make the candy looks irresistable ...... getting hungry thinking of strawberries and cream ............

ahaha funny 😎 yer i will defently post picks just got call from painter and now he wants till wednesday grrr i have been looking for empis but cant find any. i was gonna do cashmeer intereour with black vw emblims or even fawn im still undicided. this question is for anyone who knows and who is a painter will the paint crack and fade in the sun and if so how do i protect it from that. thanx every1
