was helping my friend pack her car, pondering the repairs i had to do for the front of my bug, when what should i notice but some dentage that wasnt there yesterday.
and some paint that wasnt chipped off yesterday.
and the handle to the bonnet not being so pushed in yesterday...

i came to the conclusion that some F**KER backed into my car and didnt leave a note!!:cussing:cussing:cussing:cussing:cussing

if whoevers karma that did this is half as serious as i am upset, then they are going to be feeling VERY VERY shit right now.

poor cherry seems to be having a very very bad run at the moment :cry ive asked my sister to have a look at all the rear bumpers down my street to catch the culprit as they are going to have red paint and scratches in some low places
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.

Sorry to hear that. Always avoid parking near those 4wd's, usually these cars are driven by drivers who are less than careful and or can't drive in the first place.

So sorry to hear that, Starbuggy.

I know exactly how you feel. My bus was bumped in from the rear at OASIS shopping centre on the Gold Coast 13th November last year. It was a 4WD and they saw me park on the street and I saw them pulling over behind my bus.

When I returned, I found the rear bumper was smashed in, left dents on both side of the bottom rear panel, and I saw mud on the ground that must have dropped off from the front bumper of the 4WD. I think it was a Nissan Patrol.

Seemed to me that they just did it for fun and definetely on purpose as there were plenty of room left to the end of my parking slot. Of course there was no note or anything. Since then, I choose my parking place carefully and if I can't find a place I'm happy with I don't park until a good spot is found.
I only park my bus in a place where no one can park behind or front of it.

Hope you catch the criminal.

Hope karma bites them in the ass. I would feel too bad to just drive off.. It's hit and run!!

When I was in Airlie Beach some buggar backed into Fergus and broke the headlight glass. Was quoted $80(!!) to replace it...fortunately CrazyGeorge from this lovely forum saved the day and sold us a replacement + headlight protectors at a significantly less cost.
Another occasion, same place a 4WD backed into the front and left a big dent.

Well we now have a huge-ass bullbar on the front, so bring it on suckers !:bounce

attach a tow ball to the front as well as the back bumper, then when they back ito you they are screwed, besides they probably hit they're leg on it when they walk between the cars 😉

Ok,

Now I've done this sort of thing...back into someone, but I left a note.

then the person who I backed into decided to get her whole front fixed courtesy of me and my insurance.

Well, since I had hopped otu of car to write note, I also wrote what I thougt I did, and she had already. So when she got quote, and it was for way of top amount....like $2K for 10yo vehicle, I rang up person and asked she get at least 3 quotes. She said her insurance said only one. I said sure, but did they also say for her to add extras?? She said I could not prove what I did, adn what was there.

Man, I was so upset, I spoke to mum, who works in industry, and she said callperson who did quote. Well low and behold, it was mum's old workmate. Once he found out who I was, and I was paying, he went over vehicle again, and gave quote for old and new damage. My part was reduced to $300.00

I then wrote to my insurance group, made no claim per say (as amount was my excess) but asked they take issue up for me. they did, and told her insurance group to bug off.

Her insurance group in turn told her to get lost. They woudl only pay $300.00, she could pay rest, and they in turn would not sue her for fraudulent claim.

She rang me back oh so pissed.

Now I get I should pay for what I did. Fair enough. I paid for a bumper, one headlight and some of labour. Cool. I did it, I should. But to pay for the extras. NO WAY!. I hit the lady on one corner. I damaged corner of bumper, headlight. She claimed this: Big dent in hood (which was rusty and old and on my notes...(2nd quote confirmed same) ) Whole fo bumper, two headlights, damage on front fender (wrong side to the one I hit) passangers door had scratches and dents. So u get idea....some of damage claimed was on the other side to that which I hit.

And I think it is ppls like her that make ppl think twice about giving their names when they back into/run into a parked car.

Me I don't. I still leave a name if I did something wrong, and I still leave notes with details if someone else did something wrong. And no, I don't let incidents like this get me down. i figure majority of ppl are honest and those that aren't are often caught out.

Just makes for good karma for me.

But 4 u starbuggy, hunt them down, tell us who they are, and we will help even up the karma for them.

cheers

I backed a splitty out of a carpark and just missed running down a harley-riding biker. I can guess if i 'did' hit his bike he wouldn't be running to an insurance company....and I would probably be typing this using a pencil in my mouth 😉

I am MAD for you !!! It makes me sick that some people have no respect for other peoples property !!!!!!!

It is like the shopping trolley thing when people are too lazy to take it back and put them against other peoples car. I saw someone do that to someones car one day, it was a woman in a 4WD, so I snuck around behind her car and put the trolley behind her bumper so when she reversed she ran into the trolley and left a nice big scratch on her own shiny black bumper ..... serves her right, the silly tart !
