just curious.
my grilfriend has a konia homebrand tv, lg video and konia dvd.
the house aerial goes into the video.
audio visual leads go from the video output to the tv input
audio visual leads go from dvd output to video input
tv has stopped working when you try to watch it using the tv channels (ie video is turned off or taping another program). but when i stick my finger on the aerial socket at the back of the tv it works! hey presto im an aerial! so ive got a usb cable jammed in there at the mo acting as a temporary aerial, but where do yous think the fault is? in the video or tv?
i wil buy a co-ax lead and hook it up between the tv and video and see if that changes things, otherwise i will have to buy either an indoor aerial or little splitter box to give me two aerial outlets off of the house aerial..

You got it sorted on your own, man...
You need the aerial connection to continue thru the video to the tv.
The composite cables are only sending what the video is doing not the continuation of the aerial.
yeah just bloody weird as it had worked previously until a while ago! also i am continually amazed at technology, that i can stick my finger in a socket and make a tv broadcast a picture! i mean shit! how fancy is that!

Coax lead between video & tv aerial jacks will fix the prob. As it is now you will only be able to watch TV through the video.
Ain't nothin' like the wind in your hair.
what the other guys said. should have only been able to use it previously when the VCR was on, unless there is a sh!tty internal aerial in the TV. run a cable from the aerial out in the back of the VCR up into the back of the TV and there is a good chance your picture will improve (if the TV was previously using its internal aerial)

Depending on the shielding of the cable you can often get perfect reception just from the signal radiating from the cable plug to the tv input. Your finger supplied the earth and helped the signal.
thanks fellas! all legeneds! :beer:beer:beer

I bought a 3 way stereo Audio/Video switch from BIG W to connect to the DVD player.... TV & Video....
Just so I could use the DVD player.....
and the lead I bought was defective....
the sound used to disappear.... I thought it was the switch but a new Audio/video lead fixed it up.....
