It's all cleared with the board of control at home.
I supose I have to have a Kombi at least once in my life (time is running out!!):bounce

Its a 1979 2 ltr in not bad nick and I would like to make it into a baja kombi.

So what do I need to do?

Depends on how serious you are.
I just stuck 215/75R15's under my stock '77. Takes me anywhere I want to go, and I guess it'll go further than most cheapo korean/tiwanese 4x4's.
If you want to keep up with landcruisers etc your looking at some serious mods, raising the front, clearance the rear for 31" tyres and probably a better motor.

Yeah komib's are nuts. You'll love it, can take it just about anyway, and if you forget something e.g tent!

Thanks Andy.

I dont have an unlimited piggy bank but I was interested in getting ground clearance and fitting some big tyres.

I will be o/hauling the gear box and engine and was after some pointers on any mods I should do while these are apart. Also if I increase engine power and run big tyres is there a heavier clutch I should consider.
