How long would you expect these things to last before developing surface cracks?

Much less than the original German Made Boots....
If its a swing axle, maybe 5 years....
IRS rear axle boots 5 years.....
It All depends on where they come from....
and I'm guessing they come from Brazil or Mexico.....
The original german made boots lasted 10-20 years or more..
before they broke open....

I'e had two sets last me for only about a year... the bug hasn't even been on the road much!

I had some that lasted a week on a Magna a few years ago...
then I found some very nice USA Made ones.....
I'd like to see some USA Made ones for an IRS rear axle...
The stuff We are buying generally comes from Brazil.... but there are many factories there make VW parts....
If Someone would just find the BEST factory in Brazil....
or from the USA... without costing the earth....
