Hehe my mate is selling these and the fool left me with one to play with for a few days. How cool are they! Seen them before but these are the biz. 4 speed , 4 stroke. Never had these when i was a kid!!!

Just letting people know - previously sold miniature bikes (aka "pocket bikes" or "monkey bikes") are illegal to ride on anything but private land in Victoria, and are illegal to sell here.

what state are you in?

Under the Road Traffic Act, in South Australia, a scooter, whether it is motorised or not, is classified as a bicycle, provided that the engine is not over 200w of power output.

the mini moto as shown above is a motorised vehicle, and as such needs a registration to be ridden on public roads.
You can get what is called an "unregistered vehicle permit" here in S.A. Kinda like what you would use to drive say, a tractor on the road. The thing isn't registerable, but you can use it on the road with a permit.

Illegal to sell?? hmm, so if you're caught selling one, you'll be arrested?
not saying you're wrong, just sounds a little overboard.

this will give you your compulsory 3rd party insurance to ride on public roads.

There was some talk of amending this, but as far as I know, nothing has been passed through parliament yet.

I don't know how they get them past customs but they sell like hot cakes. 18 in 2 weeks!!!
All the biker guys are buying them for they're kids to cruise at the shows etc.
The chopper is actually okay to ride , just! The mini moto racers are just plain stupid! My mate also has a 4 speed skater!!!!!! Had a go a Centenial park and got banded by the rangers for going to fast! 45k's!! Absolute death traps ......built like toys.......but if a mates got one have a go!
