Hello

A lot of you may already have seen my project in the members ride section...to complete the passenger door reassembly I need one of the U-shape channels that attaches to inside (rear) of the door that the window slides in.

This is the part that the bailey channel felt/rubber sits in and is attached at the top by the little clip (that is always broken!) and one bolt down the bottom.

Secondly a late 60s handbrake lever (the shorter ones with the pin on top and plate that the cables attach through). I have one but the pin was broken off the top.

Any help is appreciated - I want to get this bloody car finished!! 😠

I am pretty sure I have one of them handbrake things. We cut them up so try to only use broken ones, happy to swap ..

On the bailey channel channel, is it the same as later doors ? If so I have a few you can pick through. I am pretty sure I have some earlies there that should have them in.

Both of the above parts are free as anyone who has done what you have should not be stopped by parts most peopel would have thrown out many times over the years.

Let me know if you want them and I will pull them out to ensure I have some good ones.

Sounds great Brad, much appreciated. I'll definitely take them if you have them - I am not sure about the early vs late doors but would be easy to see I guess.

Shweet. I may even try to scoot across this arvo...if not maybe sat morning.

Any tips on getting the torsion leaves back into the narrowed beam?? I tried for about an hour and despite my best efforts I couldn't get them back in. I put a zip tie on the inner edge to keep them all together (tight enough to maintain shape but not too tight to stop them sliding in through the adjusters). It was driving me insane, luckily I had other things to do. I am sure they are the correct leaves for the correct adjusters...I hope. :jesus
