C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.

gotta say the one dissapointing thing about these show pics is the absence of pictures of the best looking vws around, the early fasty!

We seem to see lots of notch's and heaps of squares, but where are the fasty's? are there less of them in Australia or something?

37 & 38 the two KIT KARS are a Purvis EUREKA.
A EUREKA is its self. In that it is not a copy of anything it just is what it is.

The RED (faster one) won first, the White one (came last) is from Dublin, (not the fast one)
The EUREKA was built in Australia by Alan Purvis after gaining the rights from England (called a NOVA over there) and named it after the Eureka Stockade Revolt of 1804 in Balarat, (hence, the Flag). They are based on a VW Beatle chassie & running gear, although, being a KIT KAR they tend to be very personalised. Some have Subaroo or Ford engines etc. but are essencially a VW Base. They ceased production in 1992 having made a total of 683 kits, not all of which made it to the road.

Congratulations on another good show. Thanks

Regards Philip (owner of the White one)
