dont quote me on this but i think you will need a tuck away system installed, and the canon is attached from there... you might even need a custon system if you want it on there.

if your going for the german look id go for the monza exhaust kit... 4 larger tailpipes sounds awesome bolts straight on no fuss.

The monza exhaust sounds nice, but is restrictive in flow and looks a bit silly IMO. Remember the stock exhaust is loud already, you dont want to stick a huge 5" cannon on a little dub motor or it will probably drone like no tomorrow and shit you and your neighbours to no end.

You can get an off the shelf header and hide away exhaust for a few hundred. I think this would be a better solution than sticking a cannon. Sticking a cannon on there would probably require a bit of custom exhaust work which would cost around twice or more the amount of an off the shelf. Besides, unless you have a hot kick ass motor I think you might get laughed at with a 5" cannon.

only way u could have a cannon on an old bug is by putting it up inside the rear arches and having the tip coming out through it, it would look sheit, yeah go 4 a fatboy from classic vw with some good headers, would sound better than any cannon 2

go a set of extractors with a quietpack/turbo muffler. I used to have a hotdog on my 60's beetle and it was soooo uncomfortable on the freeway. When I went to the turbo muffler it was so much better. Still a nice note, but not so drony.

ive had a hotdog on a bug and it was loud as peter was saying but i think the new baffled ones from rapid are quieter because they are street legal unlike the straight through ones available elsewhere.
