Stockton Dune Bash 25th & 26th of march

Any body interested in comming up to Stockton for a bit of a run on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th of march there will be a few of us up there.
We will be camping in the sand dunes on the friday night and
Some will be up there as early as thursday arvo.

Also a couple of us will be making the trip south to go to the nationals, so if you were going to the nats you could tag along to that

So if your keen to have a good couple of days and a relaxed night of camping talking shit and a splash of the old personality liquid come on up and join us.

It doesn't matter what it is you drive

Na its only the alterantor and wires leading from it.
caught fire and melted

just given up on it this year.
I will pull it down now for a new pan and get it ready for rego in November.
I have 1 buggy and 1 body left in storage in the sunny state.
And 1 body here, no runners.

Mike Sharp wont be there till later in the day, so whoever is there by 9:30 will just go on and the rest can find us later. I will have my UHF radio on ch 20 if someone is looking for us.

was a fun day today. My mate and his little brother came along for the ride. The poor old baja needs to be lifted and the gearing sorted out thats for sure, the tyres were scraping everywhere.

On the way out today there was a massive traffic jam on Lavis Lane. I had to stop in the middle as some doofus in a brand spankers Ford Territory got bogged right bang in the middle. they tore a lot of plastic stuff out from under the car towing it out, I guess they really arent meant for offroading, unlike real offroaders like big 4x4's and VW's hehe

So they got going, but the next problem was a jeep cherokee towing an overloaded box trailer full of ATV's and camping gear. The lady driving it was super stroppy and had the foulest mouth! they had only let the tyres down to about 18psi, and she didn't understand what "give it more revs" meant as we all tried to push it out. there was smoke coming from the clutch before she got fed up and leapt from the car and demanded someone else drive it! haha!

There was easy 50 cars stopped in each direction, it was all pretty chaotic, like horizontal tetris. The plus side is the baja didnt even look like bogging there even a little bit, unlike the way in where I lost momentum when one buggy got stuck and another stopped beside it to help push him out, with nowhere to go all I could do was stop i the softest part, and it was pushes from therein.

But finally getting up the big dune was a highlight for me, even if it needed a push to get moving again on the top.

Yeah was a great day, sand was very soft though. My car wasnt running right by the end of it, and was like it was only firing on 3cylinders, had no power on the way home... Anyway got home and have a look and the intake pipe had falled off the throttle body. Amazed it even ran.. hopefully i didnt get any sand into the engine. Shouldnt take too long to fix and i'll go out again tomorrow.
